Cara Ray was identified in July 2005 at Manta Village She was approximately 6 feet wide but has grown to 10-12 feet.
Cara was first seen at Manta Village, but today she is a regular at the Manta Heaven site. When she was first sighted she was not a shy manta and quickly learned the routine. While most new mantas will stay at Manta Village for several months, Cara was “off to greener pastures” within a month. She seems to prefer the snorkelers and often makes them “scream” with excitement. She will also grace the divers with her presence if the plankton is right. She is a bold manta ray that “knows the program”.
