Independence Ray

Independence Ray was first identified at Manta Village (Keauhou) on June 28, 2011 by James Wing. He was approximately 4 feet across and has been seen at both dive locations. He is very shy on the night experience and doesn’t like to come close to the divers or snorkelers.

Captain and dive master Mike Mayne suggested his name as Independence Ray was first seen shortly before the 4th of July.

DESCRIPTION OF MARKINGS
His spot pattern looks like a “W” with the right side being separated from the rest of the pattern.
