Written By Michelle Scanlon: “In 2015 an amazing lady was taken into heaven after battling cancer for over 12 years. She has been an inspiration to many as a teacher, coach, and an aunt. She is still loved and missed. After working in Hawaii 3 years ago with Martina and James Wing, I went back to work for Laurie and any time I made a mistake or forgot something she called me a “pineapple head”, haha. I am back in Hawaii now and feel blessed to be able to name this manta Laur-Ray after my aunt Laurie Scanlon.”
