Spatter Ray

Spatter Ray was identified in 1992 at Manta Village.  She was approximately 10 feet across.

She was not seen again until 1996 when she was entangled in a vessel anchor line. Incredibly she was moving the boat to untangle herself, which scared the captain and divers. The dive guide soon freed her from her entanglement. Wow, this goes to show how strong a manta ray really is.

DESCRIPTION OF MARKINGS
Spatter Ray has a squiggly “W” looking pattern.
