Where beachfront accommodations stay hot and humid year-round (even in winter!), we’re at 1,300 feet elevation (about 400m). It’s the perfect temperature with a cooling breeze any time of the year.

A place of healing – no hustle and bustle and loud tourists here – we replaced them with peace and calm and the sounds of nature. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe, perfect for relaxing after the abundant activities along the Kona Coast and the Big Island has to offer.

Our location is a perfect starting point for any trips. Only 15 minutes from downtown Kona and one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, and 10 minutes to the airport – from here, you can get about anywhere.

Hawaiian Cottage
The cottage is a single room, with a sliding glass door that opens to a private deck to sit and enjoy the birds and all year-round tropical climate.
It’s completely separate from other units, so come and go as you please.
There’s a kitchenette with dishware, utensils, sink, microwave, gas grill, ceiling fan – as well as a walk-in closet, bathroom with hot water shower, sink and toilet.
Many have commented how well-equipped it is with lots of attention to the little things you might need for a fabulous relaxing vacation.

Tropical Garden Treasure
This 1-bedroom studio is a sanctuary after a day at the beach or exploring the island. It’s a “mother-in-law-unit”, meaning you’ll occupy a complete section of our house at garden level – with complete privacy. It’s roomy, newly decorated and very quiet.
The spacious bedroom has a new queen-size bed and comfy chairs; there’s a single bed on the covered lanai, and the futon sofa folds down into a full-size bed.
It’s great for 4 people, and palatial for 2. Enjoy a new gas range, washer and dryer. The screened-in lanai (deck) has an ocean view for dinner with spectacular sunsets.

Million Dollar View Penthouse
The penthouse unit boasts a private entrance, two bedrooms with cathedral ceilings, an outdoor kitchen and a dedicated parking space.
The huge outdoor, covered lanai (deck) offers a stunning panoramic 180-degree view of the ocean. Enjoy the dramatic scenery during your meals at the beautiful bar.
Besides the two well-lit bedrooms, you have a newly remodeled bathroom with show/tub, sink and toilet. The kitchen is equipped with a sink, microwave, fridge and BBQ.

Perfect Location
“This was our first foray to the Big Island, and without knowing much of the area we definitely feel like we had lucked out! Close to Kailua-Kona and Kona Mountain Coffee (we stopped there a LOT), the place was a perfect first stop for all the sunny and water-based activities we wanted to do on the west side. Although many folks may want to be closer to the ocean, being up on the hill above town was nice at night being cooler and quieter away from the noise except the sounds of nature. Really nice set-up they have going on. Both Martina and Jim were accommodating and quick to respond to any questions we had. We even did the Manta Ray tour they run, which was amazing and we definitely recommend.”

Everything We Hoped For
“Martina’s place was everything my crew and I could hope for! Beautiful space with ocean view and everything you need (location, privacy, cleanliness, kitchen amenities, and soft coolers for daily use) to enjoy the Kona side of the island. Martina provided us with local tips and was only just a text away if any needs came up. The location to Kona airport (KOA), Costco, Makalawena & Kua beach, and local food/breweries were only about 10-15 mins away! Pro tip: if your crew is interested/considering swimming with the manta rays, Martina is your lady!”
