Wing Ray

Wing Ray was first sighted in front of the Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa (formerly the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa) on April 4th, 2005. She wasn’t comfortable with divers and snorkelers quite yet and was easily startled by the bubbles touching her and the movement of the swimmers. She’s a lighter grey in shading than most of the other rays that have been documented. Her coloration is similar to Kamala Ray, who was identified in November 2021.
