Meet Ashley

​Ashley grew up in Sonoma County, CA, where frequent camping trips to Bodega Bay sparked a lifelong love for the ocean. She earned her B.S. in Marine Biology and Scientific Diving. She later completed her M.S. at Humboldt State University, where she studied a growing elephant seal colony on the Lost Coast. Her passion for marine science outreach developed through community events, educational walks, and collaboration with Indigenous tribes while working with the Marine Mammal Stranding Program. Career opportunities led her to the Big Island, where she discovered Manta Ray Advocates. Ashley now shares her enthusiasm as a guide, inspired by the island’s majestic reef mantas.
