Meet Maile

Maile has always been in love with the ocean and could swim before she could walk. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Marine Science from the University of Hawai’i at Hilo, where she focused on tropical conservation and ecology. Now, she grows a special species of seaweed for methane reduction in livestock by day, and by night, she’s in the ocean with our manta rays! Outside (and inside) of work, Maile has a seething rage towards marine debris. When she’s not playing in the ocean with the rays, you can probably find her with a SCUBA tank, removing trash from the ocean, dancing hula, or hanging out with her dog Sailor. Maile feels honored to be part of such a passionate and driven team of manta ray lovers, and is ecstatic to continue pushing for conservation in ecotourism.
