Capt. Mike aka Mike

Captain Mike was identified September 16, 2008 at Manta Heaven by Martina Wing. He was about 6 feet across.

Captain Mike used to be a shy manta ray that stayed on the outside of the dive site, but today he is comfortable around divers if the food is abundant.

We have worked with several Capt. Mike’s in Kona and we appreciate all their efforts to keep everyone safe on the ocean. If you are a Captain Mike, this Manta Ray is named after you!
